Fourth of July
Once again we lost our minds in the Owl Glade. This time with an expert. How can we have too many mushrooms? But after the fourth consecutive meal of black trumpets (with pasta, with ribs and flowers, with corn and poached eggs, sauteed on toast, with pickled octopus) we took a mushroom time out.
The second pie came out of the oven after Damien and Nadine left.
Mike, Joan, and Sophie had a slice or two after pan roasted steaks, kale and a garden salad.
Mike, Whiskey and I headed back in the city, pieless (save for that in our tummies) with big bag of mushrooms.
Some of the pie went to Target with Joan the next day to go shopping with Sophie, Amy and Kate.
I am told Nadine, Clare and Jim will help finish the rest.
