Wednesday Part One: Art, Goats, Bears, Pigs
The pie is too modest to tell you this but it is in an art exhibition in Brooklyn. Yes, its memoir, Sour Cherries 2012 is on display on an iPad in a fancy-ass art gallery (along with some of my videos of ham-related subjects).
We paid a visit to the staff of that certain gallery. Suzanne, Kathleen, and Katherine were there but Tyler was not there. Poor Tyler. The staff was in a tizzy about the goats and who would supervise them. This happens all the time in fancy art galleries.
“Everybody just calm down. Let’s have some pie.”
Mike and Whiskey dropped by about then. Whiskey sniffs everything. That’s his job when he’s not treeing bears and leading Mike off the Neversink Trail which can only lead to being rescued by rangers and firetrucks (but that is another story and this sentence is already too long).
We had started with the half pie.
By the time Patricia, Amy, Diane and Pam showed up, it was time to crack open the other pie. But not before a little impromptu lecture about the intricacies of pig rearing, pig farming and ham. Guilty as charged.
Then we took a little tour of the show.
And that is when the pie was called away on a futbol emergency.
